Conversion of Larger Structure into Smaller One

This Hershey barn, though not quite completed in this photo, had been in poor condition. The farm has considerably less acreage than in bygone days. Therefore, the owner chose to shorten his barn, thus focusing on restoring what he needed. We eliminated a hay mow off of each side, still leaving two mows and two drive floors upstairs. The little pent roof had deteriorated and caused a lot of damage to the underlying timbers. To keep things simple and cost effective, we eliminated it.

And does cold weather put us off? Hardly. We did this barn in January 2002.
